On Sunday week, April 10th the Irish Census 2011 data will be recorded. The census is an important survey and it is also the most high profile survey conducted in Ireland. Researchers like myself find the census information very benefitial and the data is used in many different ways. Examples of how I’ve used Census data include for devising sampling frames for nationally representative sample studies and comparing population subsets against national figures such as Life Consulting’s work on social class assignment to higher educaton students.
If you are reading this blog you probably have some interest in research data and will be keen to complete all details accurately, as this data is important to all of us remind your Irish connections to take the time to complete it accurately also.
